Results of Indoor Wideband Delay-Azimuth-Elevation Measurements for Stochastic Radio Channel Modeling

چکیده
The characteristics of the propagation in indoor environments at a carrier frequency of 24 GHz are investigated by means of wideband directional measurements. The data shows that indoor radio propagation is dominated by impinging waves that exhibit discrete character. Furthermore, a global characterization of the investigated radio environment suitable for stochastic channel modeling by means of the global power delay profile, the global power azimuth profile, and the global power elevation profile is presented.

Comparison of High Resolution Channel Parameter Measurements with Ray Tracing Simulations in a Multipath Environment
A wideband indoor channel sounder operating at 24 GHz with a delay resolution of 2 ns and an estimation scheme based on the space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization (SAGE) algorithm is used for obtaining high resolution estimates of the parameters characterizing the impinging waves, i. e. their propagation delay, incidence azimuth, incidence elevation, and complex amplitude. We pr...
متن کاملA stochastic multipath channel model including path directions for indoor environments
A novel stochastic channel model for the indoor propagation channel is presented. It is especially for, but not limited to future communication systems with multiple antennas like space division multiple access (SDMA), spatial filtering for interference reduction (SFIR), or multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO). The model is designed for indoor scenarios, straight forward extendable to urban en...
متن کاملWideband Propagation Measurements for Indoor Radio Channels at 62.4GHz
This paper reports 62.4GHz fixed wideband propagation measurements undertaken in six different LOS indoor environments (corridors and rooms) inside three buildings. Measurement analyses are presented in respect of static RMS delay spreads and received signal level. Uniformity of delay spread was observed for all the cases investigated. A correlation is observed with the static delay spread incr...

We have performed extensive radio channel measurements in different radio environments at 2.15 GHz frequency. A spherical array and a wideband radio channel sounder were utilized at the mobile station in order to characterize the spatial radio channel at the mobile. The measurement setup, presented in [1], enables the full 3D spatial and polarization characterization of the wideband mobile radi...

A stochastic radio channel model (SRCM) for broadband indoor mobile systems operating at 5.2 and 17 GHz has been derived within the ACTS project AC085 Magic WAND. The SRCM was designed to accurately describe the time, frequency, direction, and polarization dispersive characteristic of real radio channels because these effects are important for the design of advanced receiver structures incorpor...
